ਚੀਮਾਂ ਮੰਡੀ, 16 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ – ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਕਲਗੀਧਰ ਟ੍ਰਸਟ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਲੋਂ 18 ਅਤੇ 19 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ  ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਚ ਲਗਾਏੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੈਂਪ ਲਈ, ਅੱਜ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਬੀਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 65  ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਥੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰ. ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਰਕ ਡੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ.ਸੁਨਾਮ ਨੇ ਝੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਜ ਭਲਾਈ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਹੈ,  ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗਰੀਬ ਜਾਂ ਪਛੜੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਜੋ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਅਪਣਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ,  ਉਹ ਬੜੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਕੈਂਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈਕੇ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਵਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਨੇ  ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਡਾ. ਮਿਨਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 122 ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਚੈਕਅਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਨਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਇਨ•ਾਂ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ•ਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ, ਦਵਾਈਆਂ, ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ, ਰਹਿਣ-ਸਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Cheema Mandi, 16^th April (Jaswinder Singh Sheron) : Dr. S. Sukhdev Singh Virk, D.S.P Sunaam, today waved the flag to initiate departure of a group of around 65 patients, having different ailments, for the Free Operation Camp to be organized by the Kalgidhar Trust Gurdwara Baru Sahib at Akal Charitable Hospitable on 18^th and 19^th April 2014 . On the occasion, he said that alongside providing education, this is another great endeavor of Baru Sahib for the welfare of the humanity because the poor and the people of the remote regions, who are otherwise unable get their ailments treated, can take the benefit of these Free Camps to receive their treatments. Baru Sahib’s worker told  that Dr. Meenakshi Gupta performed check-up of around 122 patients, from which these 65 patients were selected for operation. He revealed that the all the expenses of the patients including operation, medicines, food, stay and transportation to Baru Sahib will be borne by the Baru Sahib organization.

Read, Understand and Discuss the Japji Sahib with KhojGurbani Community

KhojGurbani, an online platform with a mission to make the Guru Granth Sahib accessible to and exciting for the common Sikh, launches on Vaisakhi – April 14, 2014.

“Sikhs who want to read Gurbani but do not have the tools and a support network to do so, will now be able to embark on their journey to start learning to read and understand the nuances of Gurbani,” said Harvinder Singh, KhojGurbani’s founder.

KhojGurbani’s Editorial Board (http://khojgurbani.org/about) will provide important questions and resources to begin the conversation with Japji Sahib, with a focus on a few stanzas (pauris) each week. The goal is to eventually read the entire Guru Granth Sahib together and write a detailed commentary on it with a new idiomatic English translation.

Each week the platform will present a section from the Guru Granth Sahib for worldwide study and discussion. A number of weekly online video-based discussion groups will be facilitated to discuss assigned Shabads. We will involve Sikhs with deep expertise in exegesis of the Guru Granth Sahib in these video discussions, which will be broadcasted through our platform and our YouTube channel. In addition, audio and written responses to the Shabad or the section would be solicited and crowdsourced. This exercise would allow eminent intellectuals and laypersons alike to engage with one another across different mediums and languages, all enabled by an online platform.

28^th March, 2014, Baru Sahib – Proud moments do not form all by themselves rather it takes a lot of time, resources and good work to prove and be in the good books. On Wednesday, The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib added another milestone of inaugurating the only Drug De-Addiction Center in the District of Sirmour, alongwith Psychiatric services for the masses within the masses. This will be a home for the abandoned special cases with a history for being thrown out of the family for being drug addict or suffering from psychological problems. Special rehabilitation center has been set up for the abandoned to unfold the positivity of life for them minus the drugs and to bring visible positive changes in them.

The inaugural ceremony, saw a great enthusiasm within the organisation and the air was full of good words and appreciations for the noble cause of preserving the mankind this far. Students of Akal Academy, Baru Sahib sang prayers and mesmerised the Sangat with their melodious voices. Baba Iqbal Singh, President, Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib gave a motivational speech at the event to motivate the people attached to the noble cause of saving drug addicts and gifting them lives.

Baba Iqbal Singh Ji and Sant Sukhdev Singh Ji exchange Gurmat views!

On the occasion of Sant Baba Attar Singh Ji Mastuane Wale’s birth anniversary, Sant Baba Sukhdev Singh of Nanaksar Bhuchon Mandi paid a visit to Gurdwara of Sant Attar Singh Ji’s birth place – Cheema Sahib. After which he met Baba Iqbal Singh Ji of Baru Sahib at Akal Academy Cheema Sahib and discussed about Gurmat for a good amount of time.

He was all praises for the rural transformation drive running at Akal Academies and also agreed about the fact that due to the high quality of Scientific & Spiritual education, which is being imparted to the students by Akal Academies, the problem of drug-alcohols addition & other social evils among the youth, will be resolved. He mentioned that the Akal Academies are also playing a significant role in spreading the message & professing of Sikh religion; it’s a noble endeavor by Baba Iqbal Singh Ji that is worth praising.

Thereafter Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji honored Baba Sukhdev Singh Ji by presenting him with ‘Siro-Pao’ along with literature on ‘Sant Attar Singh Ji’s’ life & ‘Sikh Sidhant’.
