Akal Academy Dhanal Kalan conducted a programme with Dental Health Officer, Kumar Dental Clinic, Jalandhar to get rid of phobia & fear among school going children about Dental Health check up & treatment.
A special Dental check up chair was installed in the school premises during check up session. A personal ‘Dental Check up Card’ for each and every student for routine check- up was also prepared.
The dental staff checked maximum fifty students a day to ensure each student is examined thoroughly. A sterilized pouch containing gloves & check up instruments were used for individual student.
One student from each class with the help of Class Teacher was selected for ‘Appreciation Prize’ who maintained his/her dental health properly. During this current session Dental check up will be done twice (after six months).
We are thankful to Dr. Davinder Singh Veer Ji in having permitted us to make this venture a success .The parents too have welcomed the initiative taken by Akal Academy Dhanal Kalan to educate & motivate school children towards Dental Health Care.
