The wearing of iron bracelet (Kara) symbolises that the wearer has become a devotee of the Guru. In order to fulfill this pledge, a Sikh must imbibe the determination and prowess of iron. It reminds the wearer that he is a disciple of the Guru and that he has to observe the tenets of Sikh faith (Gurmat) and has to abstain from committing evil deeds, so that his mind remains pure and no finger is raised against the greatness of his Guru.

The Kara exhorts a Sikh to follow the Guru’s commands of treading the spiritual Path by seeking welfare for all, so that he can move towards God-realisation.

The Kara, being a circle, has no end, which depicts that the Divine Lord is limitless and is beyond any imagination. We can perceive His glory and merge with the same, which can’t be expressed in words.

Baba Iqbal Singh president of The Kalgidhar Society, Baru Sahib was invited as a special Guest to the PEACE Summit of the Americas hosted by the World Alliance of Religions at Carson Center, Los Angeles under HWPL.

The Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (“HWPL”) is a non-profit, non-governmental international organization registered under the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and operating out of Seoul, South Korea. Mr. Man Hee Lee, a Korean War veteran and renowned peace advocate, founded the organization after his involvement with numerous volunteer associations, seeing the need for a group whose central focus was to unite the people of the world behind the goal of peace irrespective of any apparent differences among themselves.

It was attended by hundreds of World Religious and Political leaders and youth from across diverse religions and ethnic groups.

In a glorious sight the select gathering and Baba Iqbal Singh ji signed the World Peace Treaty to seek cessation of Wars. Babaji represented the Sikh community. The audience cheered the leaders when they signed the historic agreement.

On this occasion Babaji said “Sikhism is the real gist and epitome of Inter-Faith and Universal Brotherhood wherein blessed souls from all faiths and social status are represented with their Divine Words in the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib. It is God’s will that we should see the divine light in every human being irrespective of his religion.”

All the leaders were in unison that if there were no Wars then Peace will reign. The event was well-organised and in high spirits. The finale was the song ‘Arirang’ sung by HWPL volunteers signifying the onset of Peace in the World.

Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib has started using the Pre-Stressed, Pre- Cast Concrete Technology to achieve its Goal of making 500 Academy Buildings in North Indian States. As per Project Engineer, Charanjeet Singh this technology was first used in Delhi, and now it’s used for the first time in Punjab for constructing #AkalAcademies. On 23rd. November, 2014 Trustee Jagjit Singh Ji inaugurated the first of its kind Project, in the State of Punjab at Akal Academy Chunni.

Precast concrete constructions are very common in low seismic regions as they are cost-effective, quick to assemble and build; have lower self-weight, use less raw material, etc. It uses less labour, machinery, and raw material, it provides five folds long lasting strength than other technologies. ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰ. ਇੰਦਰਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਖਮੀਰਵਾਲਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਐੱਸ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ.ਸੀ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੀ ੨ ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਰਾਜੀਆ ‘ਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਕੈਂਪ ਚੋਂ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਇੰਨਾਂ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ੧੪, ੧੫ ਅਤੇ ੧੬ ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ, ਟੈਸਟਾਂ, ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।ਉਨਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਲ ੨੦੧੪ ‘ਚ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਕੈਪਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ੫੫੦੦ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਜਾਂਚ ਅਤੇ ੪੦੦ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।
